This walk mostly comprises a wide dirt track. There is a small steep hill at the start to give your legs a workout but don't worry there are plenty of benches scattered along the walk to take a break.
Historically there were small batches of knee high grass along the trail but thanks to the Toowoomba Council's fantastic efforts the trail is now beautifully maintained and mostly wide and clear of vegetation.
Ticks are active during periods of high humidity, especially after rain. They love to crawl up grasses and latch onto anything that walks by,
including you.
Personally I think the best bet is to spray yourself with DEET insect repellant for protection.
